He could get used to this—he so could. For now he reveled in it, in the tastes and smells of Gavin. He cupped Gavin’s ass, drawing his lower body in closer. He moaned into their kisses, a little surprised by the turn tonight had taken but happily going with it.

Gavin came for him, the sweet man arching into his hand. The scent was incredible, filling the small dressing room with pure, visceral Gavin.

Rene gentled his touch, easing back because he knew Gavin’s cockhead would be sensitive. Breathing slowly through his nose, he concentrated on Gavin’s pleasure.

“I’m sorry,” Gavin whispered. “So forward.”

“You could be even more forward and help me out—I’m in the same situation you were. Your playing is so passionate, so erotic. I was hard last time too.” He barely recognized his own voice, so growly and full of need it was.

“What do you want?” Gavin stared into his eyes, unafraid, hungry.

Rene went with the first thing that came to his mind without thinking how it might sound or how greedy it made him. “You, on your knees.”

Gavin groaned and knelt without a single hesitation, the motion obviously familiar, easy.

“Fuck yes.” Rene worked his jeans open, his cock pushing out eagerly. God, he wanted. Not just a blow job, but this blow job from this man. He wanted to feel the pressure, the heat, the glory when Gavin sucked him in.

He slid his fingers through Gavin’s hair, tugging gently, pulling him closer. “Such a beautiful boy.”

Gavin whimpered, and that sweet, hot tongue dragged over Rene’s shaft, making him want to scream.

“Jesus fuck.” The words pushed from him, a shudder moving through his body. “More.” He wanted more. He fucking needed more.

Gavin opened up, allowing him to push in, to slide his cock over Gavin’s tongue and take him.

“Yes!” Rene began to rock his hips, sawing his cock along Gavin’s tongue, deep into his throat and back out again.

Gavin was well-practiced, gag reflex controlled and having no problem taking Rene in.

“Sweet bottom boy.” He said the words quietly but sincerely.

Gavin blinked up at him, cheeks going bright red. Rene stroked Gavin’s face, hoping his admiration showed in his eyes. That hadn’t been an insult. Quite the opposite, in fact. He loved a sub who knew his own needs.

Then all thoughts faded, replaced by the pleasure of Gavin’s mouth as he sucked like he was dying of thirst. Needy, wanton boy. Rene fucked Gavin’s face, driving in, Gavin taking every inch. He curled one hand around Gavin’s head, watching carefully for a response. Gavin seemed to nuzzle into his touch, suction continuing strong.

Oh, such a needy boy. It was written on Gavin’s face. Too bad Gavin couldn’t take this for himself any other time but when he’d lost himself in his music.

“Don’t stop, boy. I want to come in your mouth. I want you to learn my taste.”

Gavin moaned around his cock, the vibrations making Rene’s balls ache. Fuck, that was sweet. He hadn’t been consumed like that in forever.

His eyes dropped closed, but he forced them open again, needing to watch Gavin take him in to the root, swallowing over and over, throat tight around Rene’s cock.

Rene cried out, slamming in as he shot his load down Gavin’s throat. Pleasure raced through his body, making him shiver and shudder.

Gavin cleaned his prick like it was the best Popsicle ever, then suddenly backed away, turning from him to dress quickly.

Rene laid his hand on Gavin’s back. “Easy, Gavin. You stirred a powerful need in both of us. It’s nothing to be ashamed of.”

“I’m… I shouldn’t have. It was…. God, I’m sorry.” Gavin still wouldn’t look at him.

“No, please don’t apologize for something that good. We both got off. We’re both adults. It was great.”

“We did. Get off, I mean,” Gavin admitted.

“We really did.” Rene smiled, feeling loose and easy now, and did up his button, closed his zipper, then slowly turned Gavin around.

Gavin was bright red and obviously embarrassed. “I didn’t intend that.”

“Well, I didn’t intend it either, but I’m glad it happened.” He honestly was. He hoped that somewhere beneath that embarrassment Gavin was too.

“You don’t think I’m a slut?” Gavin asked.

“I don’t think you’re a slut. At all. I swear.” Frankly, it had never even crossed his mind.

“I’m not.” Gavin cleared his throat. “I’m really not.”

Rene leaned in and touched his lips to Gavin’s, a soft, gentle buss that was only a whisper of a kiss. “You’re a beautiful, needy boy. Come have supper with me. Please.” He held Gavin’s gaze, let Gavin see the truth in his eyes.

Gavin blushed darker, but he didn’t shake his head, didn’t say no.

“There’s a little restaurant around the corner. They’re open late.” He held his hand out to Gavin. This had been unexpected and wonderful, but he still wanted to share more time with Gavin, as had been their plan.

“Okay. Are you sure?” Gavin looked like he could bolt at the slightest provocation.

“There’s nothing I want more.” Which maybe stretched the truth a little, as he wanted to find a flat surface and make love to Gavin on it, but dinner would do for now.

He thought dinner out at a restaurant might be harder for Gavin than the lovemaking. He wanted more than just sex from Gavin, though, and he was willing to work to have a relationship with him.

“I’ll be with you the entire time. It’ll be fine.” They were two good-looking guys having dinner together. He doubted they’d get any second looks at the quiet little restaurant they were going to.

“Okay.” Gavin took a deep breath, and Rene could almost see him girding his loins. “Dev will be close by. Not for you, but for strangers.”

“Whatever makes you comfortable. Do we, like, just ignore him? Or is he joining us?” He’d not been sure when Silas had joined them at his place whether he was supposed to ignore the guy or include him or what. The circles he moved in certainly included bodyguards, but none as personal and close as Silas and Dev seemed to be. And at what had to be close to six and a half feet of pure muscle, they were not easily ignored.

“He’ll just have dinner at another table where he can see everything.”

“All right. Cool.” Rene wrapped their fingers together, and they headed out. He did his best to ignore Dev. He’d never been famous enough to require twenty-four-seven security himself, so he’d never needed to become comfortable with it.

The restaurant really was around the corner, and it didn’t take them long at all to get to it. The lighting was low, and it was fairly quiet, late enough there weren’t many patrons. Excellent. He hated when he had to yell to be heard. He also imagined fewer people would make it easier for Gavin.

“Do you mind if we sit near the back?” Gavin asked.

“Not at all.” He relayed to the hostess where they wanted to sit, and she grabbed a couple of menus and led the way to a table in the far corner.

“Thank you.” Gavin followed him, keeping his head down.

Rene sat against the wall, which let Gavin sit with his back to the room. “This good?”

  “Perfect, sir. Thank you.”

“You’re welcome.” God, hearing Gavin call him sir gave him a thrill. It felt right, though he imagined it had been unconscious on Gavin’s part.

Dev sat far enough away he wouldn’t overhear them, but close enough that no one could get to Gavin, no one could bother him. Very discreet. Rene vowed to himself to forget Dev was there. He was here for Gavin and Gavin alone.

“Do you drink?” He didn’t drink often and had to admit that when he did, he was a snob. He wanted champagne or top-shelf liquor.

“I don’t often, no. Every so often I’ll have a bad night, but I try to stay in control.”

“So no wine with dinner?” He could live with that.

“Please, you feel free,” Gavin offered. “I don’t need it tonight.”

“I’d only have champagne if you were sharing it with me to celebrate our new friendship. I don’t need it either. You’re quite intoxicating enough.” He grinned and wagged his eyebrows. “Did that sound as cheesy in your ears as it did coming out of my mouth?”

“It actually sounded sweet. Thank you.”

“Cool, because that was what I was going for.” He grabbed the menu. “How do you feel about having me order for you?”

Gavin looked at him, the expression one of deep, raw yearning. “That’s perfectly acceptable.”

Damn, but Gavin was clearly starving for a Dom. Rene guessed there had been no such thing for Gavin since he’d been kidnapped.

“Any food allergies I should know about first?” He was not going to risk an incident showing off for Gavin.

“Believe it or not, no. I am not a victim of allergies at all, thank goodness.”

“Then that will make this easy for me.” He looked at the menu. The seafood jumped out immediately as something they could enjoy together. Oh good, it came with a garlic dipping sauce. He loved sucking garlic butter from fingers—his own or his dining companion’s. There weren’t a lot of people you could do that with, though. He thought, given what they’d gotten up to in Gavin’s dressing room, that it would be totally appropriate tonight.

Gavin relaxed back into the booth, sighing softly. Rene thought he might have helped with that relaxation. Even if he wasn’t actually Gavin’s Dom, Gavin clearly craved one, and even something as minor as taking over the ordering of food was potentially huge.

He requested breaded mushrooms to start with, along with the garlic calamari, followed by the seafood platter to share. He asked for Cherry Coke for Gavin and regular Coke for himself. When the waiter left, Rene turned his full attention back to Gavin.

“Mmm….” Gavin hummed and licked his lips. “That sounds delectable. Garlic is a wonderful thing.”

“It is. And if we’re both having it, we won’t offend each other.” He smiled when the waiter came back with a basket of warm buns, a small container of caramelized butter nestled in among them. “Oh God, that looks good.” Not merely good but decadent.

Gavin actually moaned, and it was pure music.

“I can’t wait to hear how you sound when you actually eat it.” He split a roll into two and buttered it for Gavin. He passed both halves over.

“Thank you, sir.” Gavin ate slowly, obviously enjoying it, luxuriating in the flavors.

Rene thought that watching Gavin eat was probably going to be even better than eating any of the food himself. He licked his lips, nearly salivating from watching.

“Do you not like it?” Gavin asked.

“I haven’t tasted it yet,” Rene admitted. “I was, uh, distracted.”

“Well, it’s good.” Gavin returned Rene’s earlier favor, buttering a roll and handing it over.

“Thank you.” He offered Gavin a warm smile before taking a bite. Damn, that was good. The butter was sweet with a faint hint of caramel, and it melted perfectly over the hot, fresh roll. Rene licked his lips again.

Gavin watched him, then chuckled softly, eyes crinkling at the edges.

  “What?”

“You like it too,” Gavin noted.

“Yeah, I do. I figured I would. It’s even better watching you eat it, though.”

“It’s pretty tasty. I don’t mind it at all.” Gavin chucked softly again, the sound delicious.

“I’d eat butter like this constantly. It’s like candy.” Rene didn’t know why it wasn’t readily available at the grocery.

“I feel like that about cheese. I could eat it all the time.” Gavin took another bite of his roll.

“I like certain kinds of cheese. Not so fond of others.” Rene didn’t like the smelly cheeses. They made his nose wrinkle.

“I love a nice sharp cheddar. It’s simple, but it’s my favorite.”

“Especially melted on nachos,” Rene suggested.

“Uhn.” Now that was a great sound, almost as good as the one Gavin had made after his first bite of the bread.

“Do you kiss your mother with that mouth?” he asked.

“I do, and I’m not ashamed.”

“Good. From where I’m sitting you have nothing to be ashamed of.” Rene reached over and squeezed Gavin’s hand.

“Oh good. I am very seldom ashamed by yummy noises.”

Rene started to chuckle, amused by the conversation. Gavin’s eyes twinkled, dancing.

Their waiter showed up again with their drinks and appetizers. Rene stopped laughing and licked his lips.

Gavin grinned at him. “You look like a starving man, you know that?”

“I am starving.” It had been a long time since he’d had seafood. Longer since he’d had a relationship. Especially a relationship with such clear Dom/sub aspects.

He speared a piece of calamari with his fork and offered it over, holding it to Gavin’s lips. He’d always found eating with someone to be an intimate act, feeding a lover even more so.

Gavin opened right up, taking the bite with gentle teeth. Rene could tell the calamari was good, because Gavin made another one of those sexy yummy noises. Rene speared the next piece for himself and also moaned once he’d tasted it. Oh yeah, this was good stuff.

“It’s amazing. Would you like a mushroom?” Gavin offered.

“Yeah. Dipped in the sauce, please.” There was a small bowl of ranch or garlic or something in the middle of the mushroom plate. He opened his mouth, making it clear he was expecting to be fed.

“Oh, my dear little bird.” Gavin dipped the bite and fed him.

He snorted, which resulted in him nearly choking. But really, that had been funny, not to mention totally not true.

Gavin’s laugh was worth it, though—warm and happy, fond.

They shared the two appetizers slowly, talking and laughing and feeding each other every single bite. Rene hadn’t enjoyed a meal this much in forever. Gavin proved himself to be charming, a warm man who could talk about anything. The worried glances in the direction of his big bodyguard only came when someone entered the restaurant. Being in the back corner as they were, though, meant nobody aside from their waiter came near.

By the time their main courses arrived, Rene was feeling mellow and more than a little in love. He could be friends with Gavin—he very much wanted to be. But there was a connection between them that called to him too. If that never came to fruition, he at least wanted Gavin’s companionship. He was selfish enough to hope for more, though.

“How long have you been playing music?” Rene asked, and he wouldn’t have been surprised if “from the womb” had been Gavin’s answer.

It wasn’t quite. “I was eight when I got my first guitar.”

“So you’ve been playing all your life. I could see that the music is your life when I first saw you on that little stage at the Painted Dog.” That much was very clear.

“Yes. I do a lot of recording these days, but like I said, sometimes I need to play live. It’s a different sensation, fills a different need.”

“I could see that.” Rene cut a piece from the lobster tail, dipped it into the garlic butter, and offered it to Gavin.

Gavin opened for him, moaning softly as the butter dripped on his tongue. Rene couldn’t stop his own moan, and his cock went hard again. “In a different type of restaurant, one attached to a certain kind of club, I’d have you on your knees sucking me, boy.”

Gavin’s eyes went wide; his nostrils flared. Rene could read the need in Gavin’s eyes and knew it matched his own. He reached out and cupped Gavin’s jaw, rubbing his thumb over the soft lips. He wanted to lose himself in a kiss. Hell, he wanted to kiss Gavin for days.

Gavin’s lips opened, and Rene let his thumb slide inside. Sensation shot through him as Gavin’s tongue touched the tip of his thumb. Fuck, the heat between them was incredible.

“Sweet boy,” he moaned. “Hungry for me, are you?”

Gavin met his gaze, and he could read the answer in the dark eyes. He wanted to invite Gavin home or get an invite to Gavin’s. Either one.

“How long does it take you to come down from playing live?”

“A couple hours, usually. Sometimes less, sometimes more.”

“So if I wanted our evening to continue past dinner?”

  “I…. Oh. Well, I haven’t, in a long time.”

  That wasn’t a no.

“You could come back to my place for another movie, or to simply hang out. Or I could come to yours. Hell, we could go to the bookstore if you’d be more comfortable there.” He needed to make sure they’d bought the extra blankets to give out—they were expecting a cold snap.

“You could come to….” Gavin blushed dark.

“Your place? Someplace else?” Rene prompted Gavin, then waited patiently for him to finish his sentence.

“You could come to my place.” Rene got the impression that was a big deal.

“I’d like that very much.” More than very much, but he didn’t want to seem overeager and worry Gavin.

  “You want another bite?”

“I’d love another bite. I can’t decide if I like the lobster or the scallops more.”

“I like the lobster quite a bit.”

“Me too. Why don’t you have the last bite of the lobster, and I’ll have that scallop?”

  “Mm. You don’t mind?”

“I wouldn’t have suggested it if I did.” He speared the lobster and gave it a generous dip into the garlic butter. Then he held it to Gavin’s lips, enjoying the way the butter dripped and made Gavin’s lips shine.

Gavin laughed, eating the bite eagerly. “Uhn.”

“Yeah… uhn….” He wasn’t going to be able to walk out of here without everyone knowing he had a huge hard-on for Gavin. Literally.

Gavin leaned forward, teeth sunk into his bottom lip. Rene groaned, gaze glued to Gavin’s mouth. God, he wanted.

“I have a car here. I have cheesecake at the house.”

“Both those things sound good. But spending time with you sounds even better.”

  “You’re very charming.”

“I’m trying hard to be. I want you to bring me home with you.”
